Core objectives

The objectives behind this work

  1. To economically empower cattle farmers by increasing their disposable income through increased volume and quality of milk and meat.
  2. To establish improved pasture and seeds on commercial scale and forage conservation into hay.
  3. To establish a cattle breeding and training centre for practical on-farm training for cattle farmers.
  4. To improve the genetic indices of the local herd through cross breeding and artificial insemination.
  5. To create job opportunities in all ramifications of livestock and crop farming activities for our youths and the associated value chain.
  6. To encourage nomadic cattle owners to become sedentary, so they can access good veterinary care, water, fodder and management services. This improves herd health, strengthens management practices and reduces mortality, which means more animals.
